Kubernetes CrashLoopBackOff: Systematic Fix

Symptom

Pod restarts endlessly; READY 0/1; status CrashLoopBackOff.

Root cause

The container process is dying on startup, and k8s backs off exponentially between retries.

Fix, in order

1. Read the previous container logs firstkubectl logs <pod> --previous
2. Check the command/args actually work in the imagekubectl run test --rm -it --image=<image> -- sh
3. Verify env/config references resolvekubectl describe pod <pod> # look for missing configmaps/secrets
4. Probe too early? Check startupProbe settingsstartupProbe: { failureThreshold: 30, periodSeconds: 10 }

Prevent it coming back

Use startupProbe for slow-boot apps; CI should smoke-test container entrypoints.
