Redis NOAUTH: Authentication Required

Symptom

Commands fail with NOAUTH Authentication required.

Root cause

requirepass (or ACL) is set but the client did not authenticate.

Fix, in order

1. Authenticate in the client, not the URLredis-cli -a <password> --no-auth-warning
2. For apps: put it in the connection configredis.Redis(host=..., password=..., decode_responses=True)
3. Redis 6+: prefer named ACL usersACL SETUSER app on >pass ~app:* +get +set

Prevent it coming back

Never run an internet-reachable Redis without auth.

Run it on clean infra
